According to a survey conducted by Penn State University, 82 percent of Israelis support the expulsion of Palestinians from Gaza.

The same survey also found that 56 percent of Israelis support the forced expulsion of Palestinian citizens of Israel.

This compares less favourably to a survey in 2003, where 45 percent supported the expulsion of Palestinians from Gaza and 31 percent supported expelling Palestinian citizens of Israel.

The March poll also asked whether the Israeli army should kill all inhabitants of an enemy city and 47 percent of Israelis affirmed they should.

In addition, 65 percent of those polled believe a modern-day "Amalek" exists, where Amalek is the enemy of the nation of Israelites, according to the Hebrew bible. Of those, 93 percent believe the commandment to “wipe out Amalek” is still applicable today.

This is why Bibi rejected cease-fires and will continue to do so. They have other plans.

Whew so relieved you provided an unbiased source. And they polled 1,000 people.

Never again.

Jewish people should be ashamed of themselves and I will never not consider them deplorable.

Why is Hakeem so in bed with AIPAC?
He’s one of their top recipients of funding!!!

Agree. If Palestinians and Israelis want to live in a state of perpetual hatred, go for it. Their problem, not ours. We have no strategic interest in the region in 2025.

What if some of the people there don't want to "live in a state of perpetual hatred" and would gladly emigrate elsewhere? Would the US take them? Would other countries? Many (most?) Israelis and Gazans do not hold a passport to another country.

I know people like to compare what is happening in Gaza to the Holocaust. But part of the parallel is that similar to Jews in the 1930's and 1940's - most other countries are not willing to take these people in. Which, for Israel at least, was the point of it's existence. A place that would always welcome the world's Jews should they ever be forcibly displaced again with nowhere to go.

Great, it sounds like you are strongly in favor of a Palestinian homeland. Let's get it done. We already know what the borders would be so this should be easy to fix.

I have no problem with a 2 state solution. But I also don't view the Palestinians as innocent or without fault in this whole mess.

If a two state solution were enacted and agreed upon, and then Palestine attacked Israel, would you support Israel's right to respond?

Of course. If Palestine was a country instead of an occupied protectorate/colony then the morality of this whole situation would be different.

The problem though is that ironically Israel is the entity that's categorically opposed to a Palestinian homeland ever coming to fruition.

Israel needs a different leader.

Like who?

Someone reasonable. And who is willing to reign in the rogue settlers.

So, not someone who is capable of being elected any time soon.

We were already talking two-state solution. Therefore we were already discussing ideal scenarios unlikely to happen. This is pie-in-the-sky stuff.

Why would Israel accept a two state solution when they've been able to go this far towards genocide? They are only interested in a one state solution that either eliminates, relocates or completely subjugates the Palestinian population. The polls are obviously reflective of that sentiment.

The average Israeli really and truly believes that either the Holocaust or their holy texts, or both, entitle them to genocidal beliefs about all Palestinians (including Christian Palestinians who are Israeli citizens). Many of them even despise fellow Jewish Israelis who are Ethiopian, Yemeni, or mixed with those two oldest Jewish lineages. They also sincerely believe that Jews, especially Israeli ones, are genetically, intellectually, and morally superior to all other groups and are entitled to mistreat other groups. They are literally reverse Nazis, complete with extermination goals.

You could go years without ever figuring out how hateful an Israeli is, but just touch on the Israel Palestine conflict and let them talk freely. The most hateful people in the world and I have lived on four continents.

My experience exactly. It's scary thinking you've befriended someone normal only to find Nazi-level hate pouring out of them. Israelis are very damaged people.
