That's how surveys work, though. If the sample was representative, it was representative at 1,000 people. Wouldn't shock me at all if this finding is basically accurate. The Israeli public has gone off the deep end. |

Anyone who has studied the early history of Zionists and Israel should not be shocked at all. The Zionists back then had similar views as today with respect to the indigenous population and formed terrorists groups like Haganah, Irgun, and Lehi (eventually becoming the IDF) to commit ethnic cleaning and genocide.
Just a few excerpts of Jewish author Ilan Pappe's "The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine" show what they were doing back then are pretty similar to headlines you see now. "Survivors recall how four women and a girl were raped in front of the other villagers and how one pregnant woman was bayoneted." "...babies whose skulls were cracked open, women raped or burned alive in houses..." "...captured a twelve year old Palestinian girl and locked her up for the night in their military base near the kibbutz. For the next few days she became the platoon's sex slave..." "They were put under a military regime... Menachem Begin had compared to Germany's 1935 Nuremberg Laws." “Half of the indigenous people living in Palestine were driven out, half of their villages and towns were destroyed, and only very few among them ever managed to return.” "..methods to be employed to forcibly evict the people: large-scale intimidation; laying siege to and bombarding villages and population centres; setting fire to homes, properties and goods; expulsion; demolition; and, finally, planting mines among the rubble to prevent any of the expelled inhabitants from returning.” |

There are more than 50 discriminatory laws against them just for starters. They suffer discrimination in every imaginable way — by institutions, government, the judiciary, laws, practices, police, economy and society. They can’t marry Palestinians in the West Bank or Gaza. Their infrastructure is far below those of Jewish cities, and a Palestinian village has not been built since the creation of the state.
