"White genocide" fearmongering has been something white supremacists have been peddling since at least the 1980s.

genocide is not required for refugee status. it's an irrelevant diversion.

"persecution" based on race is all that is required as a matter of law

Well then all the people from Latin America begging for refugee status have as much right as Afrikaners to at least apply

But again...the administration is claiming genocide. So they need to back it up.

The criteria for refugee status generally is persecution based on race, religion, nationality, political opinion, or membership in a group.

I doubt anyone from south or central american countries is persecuted for being, for example, a Latin American Catholic with local nationality.

No legal requirement to "back up" "genocide." Or any genocide requirement.

If there's all this supposed "white genocide" happening in South Africa then why did a mere 56 whites out of the 4.5 million white South Africans take Trump up on his offer?

Hint: It's because there isn't a white genocide happening in South Africa.

There hasn't been any compelling evidence of persecution based on race presented for the white South Africans either. They presented info that wasn't even from South Africa.

Latin America didn't submit a petition to investigate Israel at the ICJ so they don't get the same privilege that South Africa does.
