Ugh no. Where did I say that? Please show me. I just thought with her list of incredible accomplishments, maybe she had also done those other things. |
☠️ Now that's funny. |
Did she literally say the words "I can see Russia from my house" ? No. But she did say: "They're our next-door neighbors, and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska" https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/sarah-palin-russia-house/ |
She’s just an entertainer. She doesn’t solve world crises or save lives. But what she does, she does very well. She is extremely successful. That doesn’t make her more or less valuable than a highly successful architect or secretary or hairdresser. She’s very good at her profession. |
OK. And not everyone has to like her work. And that is fine, too. |
This logic was already pointed out to the Sarah, my Sarah fan, but she didn't think it was funny. First because it wasn't a direct quote and then because it was paraphrased and then because it's just not funny. Sarah fan just didn't like the fact that Sarah was called out. |
And once again even accepting that logic as you call it, I do not find the sketch or the impression very funny which is my right. I have a right to my opinion. Guess what I am slso a vegetarian. Are you going to tell me I have to eat steak because you enjoy it? I'm so sorry this troubles you, Tina, or Tina's rep. |
The "I used to find them funny, but not anymore" crowd is just confirming the LFD thesis.

yes. but sad that this is women against women. |
It’s fine not find her funny or like her body of work, but there are posters on this thread saying objectively ridiculous things, like Fey and Poehler are just a “flash in the pan,” several decades into their careers, and an absurdist comment in a comedy sketch isn’t funny because it’s not an exact quote, and Fey really got a big head after appearing on SNL as Palin, even though she was already famous, had already been head writer, Weekend Update anchor and cast member on SNL, had already written a hit movie, and had her own tv show. A pp complained both that Poehler has no edge, but Fey is too snarky, in the same post. No wonder it’s hard to be a woman in comedy. You need edge, but not too much edge. Don’t be bland, but don’t be mean, and don’t be crude, but be a little provocative. |
Vegetarians are usually have better critical thinking skills. |
