OP here. Thanks! They seem to like BC but I am a bit concerned that they may be missing on a better opportunity in terms of quality of education and prospects for job placement.

Kid's preference of one over the other outweighs any other slight differences. Chances are better that kids thrive where they choose to be.
Great choices -- congrats!

Pp here — I don’t like bc, and I don’t particularly like Catholics

But people clearly haven’t lived in New England or the tri state if you think WashU is substantially better then Bc in “business” placement for tri state / north east jobs

WashU is in the same tier of Georgetown and Notre Dame. BC and BU are peers. Very large gap in prestige.

WashU students can get jobs away from their backyard and spread out, like LA and Miami. BC is a sandbox and they can only get jobs in the northeast.

Correct. And add Cornell and Brown and USC and a few others. The gap is huge.

Good students “fit” in with WashU. Mediocre students will thrive at BC.

Not for business school. Not for Finance.

You can’t even put a number for the business school because it is unranked. Get real.

Exactly. BC is #7 for Finance. WashU is unranked. Still both good schools and I'd let kid go where there's a better fit.

It is laughable to rank business specialities like this for undergrad. BC has a terrible brand name compared to WashU, as many, many posters here have said. Fetishizing some rank on a business minor is no way to choose a school. If you want to compete with U Illinois academically, you do you. Don’t tell others it was a wise choice though.

Hi BC basher. DERANGED, amiright?

Paying 90k a year for BC is deranged, yea. Even if you’re a billionaire, you’re getting scammed.

Given the gap between WashU and BC , would it be fair for UMass boosters to say they are a peer of BC?

Aww, there you are. The prolific BC basher is a little slow on responding but expect lots of umbrage about TIERS and "jokes" at how deranged anyone would be to choose BC and that anyone who goes there must not want a career or "what is Chestnut Hill"? He's nothing if not incessant and predictable.

And here it is. The BC basher comes to respond to every post. And now with the TIERS and PEERS!!!
It's not about fit - it's his fervent view that BC students are deranged and destined to add ketchup to your fries. His posts have been deleted on other thread where he acts as bully and monopolizer and derails the entire thread. Fortunately some others were able to get some viewpoints across before the BC basher took over.

A very apt comparison. I wish UMass boosters all the best, it is only fair. although they pay less than 1/3 the cost for a similar level of prestige.

Name one post that criticized BC or was neutral towards it that was removed. The only one removed here was a BC booster saying the students were more "attractive" at BC as opposed to WashU, which I pointed out is gross. These are 18-year-olds, very sleazy.

Not searching "on other threads"
Don't deny that you've been responsive for wrecking many threads and that your posts have been removed.
