This is the tl;dr of pro-BC posters on DCUM. BC is overtaking Oxford and Cambridge for most historic campus pretty soon. The sky is the limit.

This is the BC Basher prolific posting where here can't get engagement so he creates his own controversy. Then denies it (like the time he said he had a BC acceptance in hand)

There's too much engagement to posts saying WashU is better than BC, tbh. It's a really weird statement to argue against.

Wash U fans are so thrilled that some people are even mentioning their school that all of a sudden they are acting like it’s MIT.
Anonymous
Not fan of either but objectively WashU is much better and vast majority of posters agree.

WashU was compared to USC, Cornell, and Vanderbilt. That is reasonable. No one mentioned other Ivies. Meanwhile, BC alums and parents recoil at the notion they are peers with BU, Northeastern, and Tufts, despite all evidence to the contrary. It is the most overrated school on this forum and will cost you about 350-400k to attend.

Not for business school. Not for Finance.

You can’t even put a number for the business school because it is unranked. Get real.

Exactly. BC is #7 for Finance. WashU is unranked. Still both good schools and I'd let kid go where there's a better fit.

great choices; go for fit

Pre- med WashU. Finance or Econ- go for fit.

If you want to spend 4 years in St Louis, then agreed.

But people clearly haven’t lived in New England or the tri state if you think WashU is substantially better than Bc in “business” placement for tri state / north east jobs

WashU undergrad business was ranked 6th by Poets and Quants this year.

Not sure where BC landed (not top 10)

Brighton Newton and Chestnut Hill aren’t much more exciting. Far from downtown and the cool parts of Boston.

Yes because many top universities don’t offer undergrad business. 13th here is like 37th for national universities in USNews, not that great. Certainly not WashU

Translation: stop taking issue when posters say BC is as reputable as top 20 schools, pretty please!
