| If anything metro feels safer now with RTO. yes there are rowdy teens but they don’t bother anyone. I work by union station and the homeless tents are also gone. |
As a fed, I work 8 hours a day and bring all food and water I consume from home, partially because I can't afford to eat out and partially because the water in my building is contaminated. I use insulated containers, so that cuts down on standing in line to use the office microwave. |
That isn’t going to happen. They don’t care how long you (the royal You) sit in traffic. If you get fed up and quit, they’ll replace you —or not. |
Too late. |
Is there such a thing as a royal you? |
They have a reason. You just don't agree with it. |
This was my case, too. I purchased my home in 2021 when telework was still in full swing. The last few weeks have been my first experience with post-pandemic traffic. |
There is not. The PP is an idiot. |
That is true for me, too. I have spent very little since RTO. This week, I went out with a coworker for a restaurant favorite pre-pandemic that is going out of business. Restaurants are shutting down, as far as I am tracking. |
After I bought my house, my office closed and relocated to a location significantly further away. |
This happened to me as well, but I stayed with the company because the pain of leaving was more than the pain in staying. |
This happens literally all the time in the private sector. No one is forcing you to stay |
|
We are buying as little as possible, and only spending money for gas / public transit to RTO.
My agency has been offering telework for decades, so very few coworkers are in the mood to support the restaurants near us, and are using our money to pay for commuting costs now instead of going out to eat. If the restaurants want to stay in business, they need to attract more private industry workers. |
There is now |
Gosh, I wish I had your wisdom but at least you are sharing it so thank you |
