That story is terrible. Attacked TWICE in 12 hours by the dog. Glad the kids are ok. |
"land sharks"? It's not even a pit bull, so I don't understand your hysteria (not that I really understand anti-pit hysteria either). Nobody forced this idiot to get a 7-year old large breed dog and then completely neglect to train and contain it. He didn't get "scammed" he's just stupid, and unaware of how stupid he is (despite this being his second dog who attacked his family, which fairly clearly illustrates where the problem is). The only psycho here is you, pp. Calm down. |
Me too. Sad that the obvious takeaways (crates, leashes, better training, etc.) aren't being made central to this story. There was a lot that could've gone better in terms of owner handling/training and control. |
Purebred boxers are very lean and playful dogs. That boxer looks bulky, like it’s at least 25% pit. |
No, it absolutely doesn't. It looks like a 7-year old boxer, which is what it is. Everyone on this thread thinking they're a breed expert is actually revealing their idiocy. |
These "unprovoked maulings" aren't, and literally every single one of them involves the exact same thing: an owner who didn't know how to properly train their animal. Dropping twitter nonsense into this thread immediately reveals that you're just here to troll and derail, but the above point stands, regardless of your shitposting. There are a lot of people who have way more dog than they need, and definitely more dog than they can handle. This includes toy breeds. You can try to make it about the breed of dog, but it's not, and smarter people will continue pointing that out. You either know how to handle dogs or you don't. He didn't. He made that clear. Twice. Neither was a "pit bull". There's the point, for anyone sane. |
Pit bulls are also lean, playful dogs. That boxer looks exactly like a boxer: https://www.akc.org/dog-breeds/boxer/ |
