Agree -- it's gorgeous and would be easy to style with a cool necklace and shoes. And if it's a freakisly hot day in March, have a back up. |

Nice basic black cocktail dress you can wear again |
Yes gorgeous! |
Yes a lot of the first suggestions were awful! |
|
I'm about your height and size but in my 40s.
Since it said cocktail attire, I would wear a knee-length solid dress with short sleeves or 3/4 sleeves in a fabric which is formal and not too flowy. Black or jewel-toned. Why is the blue Adrianna Papell dress awful and frumpy? Honestly the poofy skirt makes it look young, not old and frumpy. |

OP, I am about your age and size, and I thought I was never going to find something I liked on this whole wild thread! But I love the 2nd one. I like the 3rd, though it is very short. You might be able to carry it off! The Macy's suggestions immediately below this are pretty good, too. |
That model is 5’10” so it would look longer on the OP |
Ahhh, good, you did tell us more. In that case, try something like the 3rd Macy's suggestion. You sound young and fun ... definitely avoid the LONG, fussy dresses suggested early in the thread. |
I like #1 and #3! |
It's a dated silhouette and color palette. I agree that the label markets to the frumpy crowd---this one appeals by looking like a dress that ladies wore to fancy events in the 80s. |
