So homely!!! OP other than petite it might help if you shared more about your shape (apple, hourglass, rectangle). And, are you comfortable showing off your legs - if so go for cocktail length not these frumpy suggestions.

I think you would do much better for suggestions on YouTube - search your shape, cocktail dress, over 50. The suggestions cannot be worse than what’s been shared here.
