No one over the age of 21 should shop at Lulu's. It's for teenage girls looking for prom dresses. The OP is in her 50s FFS!

Your rigid rules are pretty funny. Lulu's has lots of options for women of all ages. Here are two:

(not for OP's occasion, but examples of chic, ageless dresses)

They are both cheap and terrible looking. The second one is extra terrible for even a fit middle age body.

Omg. No one over 18 should wear lulus. These would look ridiculous

I think PP was playing just to get a reaction.

Because every petite woman needs a floral caftan?

I just tried this on and it’s gorgeous in person. It’s too big on this model so looks long and wide but in person it’s great

I have this in a couple fabrics, and it’s so flattering on. Either in a print or a solid with a gorgeous wrap

The second one doesn't even look good on the model! Why is it so lumpy around the waist? Terrible and cheap looking.

Former model here and I just wanted to pop in and say it looks terrible because that isn't a real model and the shots are god-awful. No real model would fail to know/use her angles like that. Anyone would look bad in that dress in those poses ... to the extent that I wonder what on earth was going on at that photo shoot. The dress is probably average or above so on. Those are really bad pics.

You all seriously need to stop it with the cheap machine-embroidered stuff. It always looks awful; the stitches are never perfect everywhere. No, no, no.

Wow, I guess you can't read? From the above post : "not for OP's occasion, but examples of chic, ageless dresses." They were posted in response to the twit (you?) who huffily claimed that "no one over the age of 21 should shop at Lulu's. It's for teenage girls looking for prom dresses."

+1
My eye was drawn right to the lumpy middle section. Awful!

Your posts are so entertainingly prissy. You have no idea what this dress looks like in person. This dress is great.
