This is extremely cringe. Are the same staffers who suggested this ones who told her to go on Fox News? Has Trump paid her off to lose because I don’t understand the strategy here. So worried about Nov 5!!!

wow this is totally awful, this is an old Saturday night skit that no one will get why why why? Come up with something more recent and funny, this is horrible Kamala didn't even do any of her own material and this skit is just awful. It would have been relevant in 1998 but its so dated and cringe now.

You do realize that the average age at Al Smith dinner is over 60, right? If they watched SNL in the mid 90s, they know who MCG is. Especially if you're a Catholic.

Like I said, big time Boomer energy event.

If she was targeting boomers she got the wrong year, this is a genx late millennial skit, really bad

Who do you think was watching SNL with me when I was 16 in 1997?

My Boomer parents.

It would have been better if kamala came up there on her own with the jokes not hire some out of touch Saturday night live catholic skit to do the work. Sad. And the boomers don't care about this its cringe and sad.

+1
It did not go unnoticed that she snubbed Cardinal Dolan.

+1. The Democrats disdain for Catholics has not gone unnoticed. There was the Notre Dame student poll a few weeks ago. Trumps internals are showing NJ could move to within the MOE soon.

You are delusional.$800M settlement for abuse yesterday. Enough said.

I'm a boomer, admittedly, and I got it. It was funnier than anything Trump said. Totally in the spirit of the Al Smith dinner. I mean, if Trumr can swear and tell dirty jokes...

The character was debuted in 1995. It's literally on Google.

So bizarre that you assume Boomer adults were not watching SNL in the mid to late 90s. My mom was only 40!

I watching SNL every week and I'm 43 (elder Millennial).

But it’s an insulting, bigoted parody of a Catholic woman. You do get that, right? What’s next? Is she going to send a video with Chappelle playing Tyrone Biggums to an NAACP fundraiser or a video with some white guy with a sombrero doing a heavy Mexican accent to a La Rasa fundraiser?

I just don’t see why her campaign would set this up, especially a week after the Gretchen Whitmer Doritos video, unless they weren’t trying to ditch all hopes at winning over any Catholics, who make up a very large percentage of voters in states she needs to win like PA and Mich.

Kamala was where she needed to be - campaigning, not pandering to Catholics who were not going to base their vote on whether she attended this dinner or not. If they support her, this will not change their mind. If they support Trump, her not showing doesn't matter.

I’m Catholic, Gen X, I think it is funny and way less awkward than expected.

Jim is not a trump supporter he is a staunch critic, so this is valid

Come on, this is fair game for Gaffigan. He's playing to his audience and it's not cruel/shaming to point out facts.

And I say this as someone who believe Trump's comments - and even his presence - were beyond the pale for a religious fundraiser for a Church so focused on pontificating morality.

Anyone else thought the Kamala video was "WEIRD"?
