Where in Austria/Bavaria exactly? Austria has very different regions as far as I know.

Absolutely. Add Jodhpur and Jaisalmer. And while we're in India (we go every year - DH's native country), visit Kerala as well.

Most beautiful were Hallstatt and Mittenwald, but also loved and Salzburg, Innsbruck.
