I have loved different places for different things. I think you should do your own research instead of asking other people because their answer probably is specific in why they loved it and may not be what you are seeking.

Agree.

Iceland - just other worldly
Italy, UK - beautiful architecture and rolling country side
South Korea - food, shopping (for those of us petite gals; not so great for the larger sizes)

I haven't traveled that extensively, but those are some of the places that stand out to me personally.

Same. I was really blown away by the northern mountains especially, even though it was rather foggy most of the time we were there. I can only imagine what it looks like in clearer weather.

Really loved the parts of Italy we visited in our two weeks there and am itching to go back.

Which cities do you recommend? Is it a good destination for kids?

It’s hard to pick just one, but probably French Polynesia.

It’s truly otherworldly. Countless marine animals just swimming out in the ocean and in the reefs.

Water that is completely clear and as blue as a sharpie.

Specifically the blue lagoon on the island atoll of Rangiroa. I felt like I was on another planet. Baby sharks were swimming around my feet, as it’s a natural nursery for them.

Unbelievable.

The one place I'd love to be able to pop into at any time - a magic travel capsule that cuts out all the usual means of transportation - is Hol Chan Marine Reserve off the coast of Belize. Snorkeling there is another world entirely.

Oh there you are! I always wait for your posts like this. You just shamed and insulted a poster that triggered a nice thread.

Norway and Sweden-gorgeous but painfully expensive

NP. Oh please, it’s just true. I’m a size 2 and in Japan I had to buy a size large! There really aren’t options for anyone who’s not small.

How on earth is Rome "lame"? It's a gorgeous city - one of our favorites.

Our kids loved Vietnam! Hanoi and Hoi A were probably the favorites but we went all over and they loved it all. A beautiful country with so much history, amazing food and incredible people.
