In a first, noncitizens are voting in D.C. Here’s what it means to them.
More than 500 noncitizen District residents have registered to vote, according to the D.C. Board of Elections.

They came to the United States from El Salvador, Ethiopia and Iran to study, earn money and escape violence. And they all found a home in the nation’s capital. They are not U.S. citizens, but they care about issues in their communities, including education, health care and affordable housing.

And for the first time, these noncitizen residents — some of whom have lived here for decades and have children who were born here — will have a say in how their communities are run: They are among the more than 500 noncitizen District residents who have registered to vote and have cast their ballots or are heading to the polls Tuesday to pick their representatives on the D.C. Council.

So you are wrong. Noncitizens, aka illegal immigrants are voting in the US.

Non citizens are not necessarily "illegal immigrants" - they can be green card holders or have some other status. Your ignorance is shining through.

30 Years of Non-Citizen Voting in Takoma Park: November marks the 30th anniversary of the first non-U.S. residents voting in Takoma Park.

The landmark initiative first passed by the Takoma Park City Council in 1992 gave immigrants—regardless of their legal status—the right to vote in municipal elections. In Takoma Park, nearly one-third of the residents are foreign-born, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

Here is another:

"Noncitizens are eligible to vote if they are at least 18 years old as of Election Day, have been a D.C. resident for at least 30 days before the election" <- You only have to live in DC for 30 days to vote in local elections.

This means that illegal immigrants can and do vote in DC and Maryland. I am perfectly okay with Younkin making sure that the right to vote in my state of Virginia is only a right of US citizens.

Hey moron. Those are local elections only. DC Residents and Takoma Park residents can’t vote for federal office holders. TP noncitizen residents can’t vote for state office holders. And no one has shown a significant number of non eligible voters are trying to vote in VA. For someone so upset about the virtually nonexistent problem of ineligible people breaking federal law to vote in VA, you seem fine with Youngkin breaking federal law and ignoring the quiet period. And Youngkin’s son violating the law and attempting to vote when he was not eligible. This hypocritical- the law must be obeyed unless someone named Youngkin is the one breaking it mentality is hypocrisy at its worst.
