Except it is happening right here in our neighborhoods. Right now. It's not racist to point that out and to be against the changes. If they want to live stacked on top of each other, go to DC. |

Trump is going after legal immigrants now.

| Also who is Matt Goodwin? I DGAF what some rando on X has to say on this because people lie. |
Yes. And we know which legal immigrants he will try to toss out. |
Because the WAPO told me it's true and it is beneficial this country . What a brainwashed idiot you are and of course you had to throw in the racist accusation. Anyone with half a brain can see what a disaster open borders have been.

Very conservative teacher here- doing my part clean the liberal 💩 for brains kids. |
I really don't understand this. Trump and Vance both went to ivy league schools. Trump is sending his son to a top school. Vance was venture capitalist. How are they not elite? Do you think Vance is not going to send his kids to the ivy league? Are you not mad at them because they're so rich they won't need loan forgiveness? Also, why doesn't it encourage more people to attend college? Should it be more affordable? Leaving the college debt aside (and so much of it is paying off the interest, not the original loan): how are the GOP doing anything to SHOW they support the middle class, not just talk about it? Google will tell you Trump has employed undocumented workers his entire career. He has repeatedly demeaned the military. Jobs are way up right now. Trump wants to slap tariffs on food, which means food prices will rise. I can see how you might FEEL more respected by the right, but isn't respect more of a showing >> for it be better for your pocketbook. I genuinely believe the Dems are trying to fight for your rights. |
So the Washington Post is lying, but you, a random stranger on the internet are not? Who should I believe, I wonder? |
My DD just became a teacher and due to the current state of education I can honestly say there are more "conservative" teachers now. |
You can find that on the Virginia DOE school profile website. We are next door. Years ago, there was a boundary change to our ES to bring in kids 5 miles away due to an exploding ESL population. They had no more room so rezoned them to our school. Our school went from 25% low income to over 60% in several years. Guess what went out the window? Special services for kids who were already there. This happened to my neighbors. Their kids' reading problems were never addressed. One mom fought but was told her below grade reading level child was reading well enough not to require services. Other things like homework, reading novels, reading groups for advanced readers, science fairs, people fairs were out. Parent events were greatly reduced. If your child was advanced, they were often placed in groups with language learners. So yes, there is an impact. |
| ^^ oh and using class time to prepare for tests ad nauseam. Since kids weren't required to study independently at home, the teachers would go through the materials to prepare. Teachers would also read required books in class aloud (again no homework). |
Yes, outrageous. Here's the Washington Post reporting on it: Illegal border crossings soared to record levels under President Biden, averaging 2 million per year from 2021 to 2023. The migrants have arrived in every state in the country, overwhelming cities such as New York, Chicago and Denver as newcomers seek shelter and aid. Crossings dropped sharply this spring and summer after the Biden administration tightened border controls and closed off migrants’ access to the asylum system. (why didn't he do that 3 years earlier??) Still, apprehensions exceeded 1.3 million during the first nine months of the 2024 fiscal year. Biden’s handling of border security was among his worst-rated issues in polls before he ended his campaign July 21 and endorsed Kamala Harris, his vice president, for the presidency. Illegal border crossings soared in the months after Biden took office and rolled back many Trump-era restrictions. Teens and children crossing without their parents arrived in record numbers during the first three years of Biden’s presidency. Families and single adults have crossed at historic rates as well. Migrants from Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Senegal and Mauritania — along with other nations in Africa, Europe and Asia — have crossed from Mexico in numbers U.S. authorities have never seen. For example, 14,965 migrants from China arrived across the southern border between October 2023 and December 2023, Border Patrol data shows, up from 29 over that same period in 2020. The Border Patrol encountered 9,518 migrants from India during that same three-month span, compared with 56 during that period in 2020. The challenge of processing, detaining and potentially deporting migrants from such a wide array of nations has strained the Biden administration, which often resorted to releasing migrants into the United States when facilities became overcrowded and requests for humanitarian protection couldn’t be resolved quickly. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/trump-vs-biden-on-immigration-12-charts-comparing-us-border-security/ar-BB1i6LeM#:~:text=Illegal%20border%20crossings%20soared%20in%20the |

DP. Re: the bolded, is this satire?? Please explain exactly how importing millions of people will have no impact on housing. JFC. |
But no doubt you eat up the rando X posters who parrot a narrative you believe. Spare us all. |
