Fine. I’ll answer for MAGA, since they can’t.
There were only two major border security bills presented during Trump’s administration: H.R. 6136 and H.R. 4760. —H.R. 6136: Nearly half the Republican Party voted against it, and all Democrats opposed it. —H.R. 4760: 41 Republicans voted against it, with 193 in favor, and once again, not a single Democrat voted for it. Trump failed to rally his own party to pass meaningful immigration reform. His inability to understand that successful legislation requires compromise is a key reason he failed to deliver on one of his central promises. This also contradicts the narrative that “only Trump can save America.” Passing legislation requires cooperation across the entire government, not just executive orders or unilateral actions. Trump acts in his own self-interest, as seen when he intentionally sabotaged the most comprehensive border security bill in 2024—a bipartisan effort that included nearly everything Republicans had been asking for. He killed the bill for one reason: to keep the issue alive for his own campaign, for his won self serving political gain. Passing legislation isn’t about being perfect; it’s about compromise to serve the best interests of the American people. |
I guess you haven’t paid attention to all the policies that were working the Biden administration reversed. https://cis.org/Report/Bidens-Executive-Actions-President-Unilaterally-Changes-Immigration-Policy |
| Adding that Trumps sycophants from his we build the border are all in jail. Embezzlement go on maga give him more of your money your cult of stupidity is failing at math |
There is no need for legislation. Biden has finally bothered to do something under current law and it's helping. |
Biden’s immigration bill he presented to Congress on his first day in office didn’t get a vote. Nancy Pelosi couldn’t get Democrats to vote for it. Not to mention his so-called border bill failed. Democrats keep blaming Trump, but if the bill was good, it would have passed. It didn’t give Republicans “nearly everything”. It was a Democrat bill that had all of Biden’s policies in it. The bill died within 24 hours of being introduced because it was a bad bill. |
Exactly. The President can secure the border with executive orders and agreements with foreign countries. That’s what Trump did. Biden blew the border up by ending Trump’s executive orders. Biden said he couldn’t do anything to fix the border, but six months before an election, he issued an executive order that dropped the numbers at the border. |
The ones that Obama built? Yes I hope so. If you put your children in so much danger by dragging them through Duran Gap and Mexico to use them as meat shields, they deserve to be taken from you. |

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/trump-receives-unanimous-endorsement-from-border-patrol-union
Trump was endorsed by the Border Patrol Union. Kamala is endorsed by open borders groups. The lie that she would secure our border is preposterous. |
No, Trump didn't. He said a bunch of stuff and you believed it - for example we will build the wall and Mexico will pay for it - didn't happen. Also most of Trump's EOs failed either in the courts for lack of statutory authority to uphold them or due to the expiration of Title 42 which only gave limited authority. It was only ever a matter of time before they would fail. To stop them from failing, the laws DO in fact need to be changed. |
Kamala Harris is backing the Bipartisan Border Bill, which was endorsed by the Border Patrol Union, but which Trump had killed, because he prefers theater and chaos to actually governing. |
The Border Patrol Union support Trump. The leader of the union warned of the destruction of American communities if Kamala Harris is elected. Trump will propose a way better border bill as President, one which would actually secure the border unlike the weak border bill that failed in 24 hours because it was so bad. |
And yet, border crossings are now at a 15 year low since Trump enforced law and there was no "Bipartisan Border Bill". Gee, how did that happen? |

https://www.justice.gov/archives/opa/pr/justice-department-secures-25-million-landmark-agreement-apple-resolve-employment I am totally against high skilled illegal immigration. Biden let them off the hook with a slap on the wrist. All the stuff about Trump and h-1b is just lip service. He started those cases, and Pam Bondi has already prioritized these types of cases. Thank you very much. There is quite a bit to do here. You can see that Biden didn't do anything about the numerous companies doing the same. You can go into today's Wapo and search for any number of companies hiding mail in applications with misspelled skills. https://jobs.washingtonpost.com/job/250790230/software-engineers/ https://jobs.washingtonpost.com/job/250787554/multi-ft-permanent-positons/ Do you know how many times Democrats tried to pass Amnesty in the reconciliation packages? I counted it getting rejected by the parliamentarian at least four times. The real rub is Biden didn't say two words about immigration on his campaign trail, they talked about economic inequality and what not. They didn't do a thing about economic inequality, despite actually having the tools to do so. They spent most of their prime legislative meetings, trying to pass amnesty and Green cards for tech workers in the Chips act. Maybe Trump isn't going to get everything he wants, but he is going in the right direction. |
| Seems like voting for Trump based on immigration was the right call. |
Just in case you're a wondering where it's at Democrats. You can't be trusted on immigration. You've said things then your politicians have done the opposite. You've said some things are important, more important than immigration, but then your politicians focused on immigration. All of your local jurisdictions are these "Sanctuary" cities. So here is whatcha' have to do to get back into the federal government business. You have to pass laws restricting immigration at the local level ( get rid of those darn immigrant drivers licenses etc. ). You have to enforce laws at the local level. Your businesses have to quit lying about my skills. Then maybe *emphasis maybe* you might get a vote based on all other things. The sentence is 20years as is with 10years for good behavior, (good behavior we have yet to see). It's a light sentence if you consider that you have been at it for twelve years with this disingenuous nonsense about "needing immigrants", which has likely caused my lifetime earnings to be 5-10% less. |
