No. Mine admitted several weeks ago. Just got merit award today.

Not Big 3. 3.86W, 1260, will have 5 APs, 4 honors courses by end of this academic year (I think can take 10-12 max APs). Accepted business school. Lots of volunteer ECs, some via school requirements. Varsity sports (2), club sport (3 seasons until this year).

Weird question - but there is a section called "School Report" on the Common App - how is this supposed to be communicated to Pitt? Who's responsibility is it to get that to the school?

Every high school’s college counseling office has this. I always assumed it was sent along with the counselor letter to give context to gpa and rigor.

Applied mid-September, notified Sept 23rd and got merit last night!!!

At what point should you be concerned if Pitt hasn't send portal credentials. Another school DC applied to the same day as Pitt sent portal credentials the next day, Pitt's still haven't come but we were charged the application fee and child got the confirmation email from common app that the application was submitted.

Application under review 9/23. Accepted 10/15. Kid is happy! Good stats. Pitt is a great option.

We are waiting.... DC said Yes to honors but did not submit honors essay yet. Planning to work on it after EAs are done in Nov.
Did the kids who received merit already also submitted their honors essay?

mine did...not sure whether it was a factor or not

Honors and merit are two totally separate processes. Different committees (honestly, my theory is that the merit “committee” is an outside enrollment management consultant group, but don’t quote me on that).

All honors decisions come out the same day (March?), and I doubt they read the essays until after the honors deadline.

Question - do you need to complete additional supplementals or forms to be considered for Upitt merit aid?
