Where are they dropping? I'd love to get one of those houses.

To paraphrase carville
Not really calling anyone stupid by the way.
Just that it’s obvious.

Under fenty/rhee there was alot of hope that the school options would improve but now they are worse than ever and even Wilson or whatever it’s called now is not safe enough for regular kids. Educated parents want their kids to get a good education.

60% of jackson-reed lives in-boundary, and the vast majority of the 40% that live out of boundary attended an in-boundary feeder school...the demographics continue to skew wealthier and whiter and the white population is the most-represented race at nearly 40% of the school population.

I doubt you know much about the demographics of Jackson-Reed or even live in DC for that matter. You don't even know the name of the school.

We did leave dc because of schools (and housing affordability). My mother attended Wilson. I’m very familiar with its history. Our friends that stayed have kids that are struggling. If you can’t work the system to get into aap you are screwed-bullying, distracted classes, no discipline enforcement. It’s not about race even though you want to go there -pg county Eleanor Roosevelt 76% reading 53% math. It’s about what the school district prioritizes. Dcps is off track. If you can’t give educated parents good options they leave.
