We did leave dc because of schools (and housing affordability). My mother attended Wilson. I’m very familiar with its history. Our friends that stayed have kids that are struggling. If you can’t work the system to get into aap you are screwed-bullying, distracted classes, no discipline enforcement. It’s not about race even though you want to go there -pg county Eleanor Roosevelt 76% reading 53% math. It’s about what the school district prioritizes. Dcps is off track. If you can’t give educated parents good options they leave. |
