Official Kamala Harris VP Thread

Her at the top of the ticket is huge huge mistake.
Like opening nobu in canton Ohio then wondering why it’s not doing well.
So over the dems and their dumb dumb choices at all times

I’m over it too, but this is where we find ourselves. We have zero control what party leadership decides. I am upset at endorsing Kamala because she somehow “deserves” it. No. That’s not the way to win an election people.

There's time for an open convention. Call your representative and ask for one. Maybe it's time you understood how your democracy works. You elect representatives to act on your behalf at all echelons of power. Then when the sh!t hits the fan, and voters CANNOT BE CONSULTED BECAUSE TIME IS RUNNING SHORT, the job of your representatives is to act according to their principles and ethics.

Democracy doesn't mean you get a say all the time, for everything, PP and others. This is a very unusual situation, and if you were rational and fair-minded, you'd understand that other people closer to power are going to decide this for you.

I'm fine with that. This has been going on your entire lives, people, but now when you're just noticing and it's not convenient for you, you're complaining?

If you're not happy, you can run for office and change the system yourself.

Harris's mom is Indian and dad is Jamaican I think. She isn’t African American culturally at all.

That’s ridiculous. She was an AKA at Howard. That’s pretty culturally Black.

And she grew up in Oakland. She’s spent way more of her life in culturally black spaces than Indian spaces.

I’d say the hills of Oakland are pretty culturally white!

That would help quiet those who think Trump’s some kind of hero for surviving his shooting. The Republicans have made guns so easy to get now, it’s no surprise that shootings are a daily occurrence.

Yes love this idea

'Ludicrous': Donors leave call with Kamala Harris frustrated and annoyed

The gathering of about 300 donors was meant to calm concerns but instead upset several who said it was badly organized, though they didn’t blame Harris herself.

"At the end of the call, hundreds of participants were unmuted, and one person declared that the call was “ludicrous,” according to two of the sources."

“It was a total failure,” said one source who was on the call and who spoke on the condition of anonymity to provide a candid assessment. “It was damaging. It was poor planning.”

“Please help us turn down the volume on this conversation publicly,” Melissa Morales, founder and president of Somos Votantes, said on the call, according to a transcript obtained by NBC News. “It’s time to stop the leaks and the rampant rumors. Your message has been heard and received. But every day that we continue this publicly chaotic conversation, we come closer to a loss — no matter who the nominee is.”

That didn’t sit well with some on the call.

You're misinterpreting the donors' frustration.

The referenced call was organized by Biden staff in support of Biden. The donors were angered because they were told they must stop discussing Biden dropping out. Harris, did speak, but only in support if Biden.

Participants of the call were told they needed to “lock in and get behind” Biden and to not pursue efforts to push out the president.

Will not vote for a ticket that doesn't have Harris at the top.

Will not vote for a ticket that includes Newsome or Buttigeg

What about Sherrod Brown?

Hey, lets allow Kamala to imagine what she can be as President unburdened by what she has been as VP.

Because those two want the Presidency in 2028.

No. They want the presidency in 2024. There is zero chance that Harris receives the nomination. This has all been planned carefully to sidestep both Biden and Harris. Maintain the illusion that Biden is healthy through the primaries, put him into an early debate to humiliate him and build public pressure for him to step aside pre-convention. As Harris is thought to have worse electoral prospects than Biden, they will make it an open convention and Newsom will emerge the nominee.

If there was so much planning, why didn't they orchestrate Biden not running again? They could have had a real primary.

He’s the only chance to keep the Senate, you can’t mess with that.
