Official Kamala Harris VP Thread

Mark Kelly wouldn’t be a bad choice, but there are better VP candidates.

Kinzinger for one.

Jonny Kim - if he would do it - would be terrific.

Michelle - but probably isn’t interested - would kick ass.

I’d love to see Jon Stewart on a ticket. I can’t see it happening, but we can dream.

No way the Dems open up Kelly’s senate seat. Beshear or Cooper seem most likely unless they have their eye on 2028.

Harris cannot win.
Her at the top of the ticket is huge huge mistake.
Like opening nobu in canton Ohio then wondering why it’s not doing well.
So over the dems and their dumb dumb choices at all times

Neither Harris / Beshear or Harris / Cooper is going to move the needle.

If those are the options, it’s probably better to stick with Biden / Harris.

A lot of soul-searching to be done once this is done.

Harris's mom is Indian and dad is Jamaican I think. She isn’t African American culturally at all.

That’s ridiculous. She was an AKA at Howard. That’s pretty culturally Black.

And she grew up in Oakland. She’s spent way more of her life in culturally black spaces than Indian spaces.

She grew up in Canada. She literally graduated from a high school in Quebec.

lol. The GOP ticket is literally two Ivy League con men. The VP’s entire life story is a lie.

Sure, it might be, if Biden were 10 years younger.

As it is, it is stick with Biden and lose humiliated or pick anyone else and win or lose with your self-respect intact.

Exactly. With Harris, Dems have a sliver of a chance that they don’t have with Biden. Also, and more importantly, they demonstrate that unlike the GOP, they respect the office and their voters, and don’t stoop to cult behavior.

The main problem with Harris is she is extremely unpopular and less electable than even an enfeebled Biden. Just putting her on the ticket is a sure way to hand King Trump the Presidency in November.

She lived in Canada for four years, for high school. I don’t think that somehow negates her Blackness.

She's way more popular than Biden. Also, she can walk and talk and act normal. Unlike Trump and Biden.

This is not her strong suit though.

Naivety abounds. Why haven’t Obama’s left Washington yet? They ain’t done.
