I am African American and I always vote for the 3rd party. I'll say I am very impressed by how Democrats manage to get the African American vote every election by a massive to say the least margin. At least where I grew up we tended to vote as a block. The directives often come from the Church or local activists and the messaging is the same election after election. Republicans are not better they are even worse because they have no message at all. It's just a number game to be honest.

A 3rd party vote is as good as no vote. In other countries that have coalition governments, your vote might count but not here. So are you voting 3rd party as a protest vote?
