The black population statistically has lower socioeconomic standing. This is not a moral judgment. If you believe it’s racist and bad to speak accurately about reality and the world around us, well, luckily there’s a political party for you

There's a huge difference between what you said and what he said.

You've said that blacks and Hispanics are disadvantaged and earn less. Trump essentially said that "black jobs" are the jobs that are being taken by illegal immigrants. So, essentially that jobs for black people are low income, hourly jobs, frequently requiring no education or no training, that any physical body can come in and do. Jobs like farm labor, house cleaning, day labor jobs, sweat shop factory jobs (like crab picking on the Chesapeake). He's said that jobs that are traditionally black are the bottom of the barrel jobs.

Illegal immigrants are not coming in to take jobs that require degrees, work in offices or require training and knowledge. Those are the jobs that many blacks are making advances in acquiring, but those are not the jobs that are being threatened by illegal immigrants. The jobs that blacks aspire to, are apparently not "black jobs". The jobs that illegal immigrants qualify for, are apparently "black jobs".

If you can't see the difference between what he said and what you said, then you are a lost cause.

They are a lost cause, but you explained it well.

From your lips to God's ears. Don't take any demographic for granted. My black best friend is an anti-crime conservative. I couldn't see her voting for Trump, but a middle of the road conservative R? In a minute.

Very weird take of. We have 100,000 of Russians crossed the border since the war began, hundreds of thousands of Chinese. Most of them are college educated and fluent in English. They are taking office jobs. Your assumption that blacks only work at the farms is racist.

DP. You're obviously a troll, PP. But putting that aside, how are these college-educated Russians and Chinese strolling across the border and taking office jobs with no papers? Employers with unfilled menial jobs may not ask for papers, but I'm pretty sure white collar employers do.

You must be a troll. As soon as you applied for asylum, you are eligible to file i-765, Application for Employment Authorization. Waiting for asylum hearing may take 8-10 years, meanwhile you are legally authorized to work in US.

Blacks will always vote D. It’s against their best interests to vote R and they know it. That would be the end of every benefit and social safety net they enjoy.

"These Negroes, they're getting pretty uppity these days and that's a problem for us since they've got something now they never had before, the political pull to back up their uppityness. Now we've got to do something about this, we've got to give them a little something, just enough to quiet them down, not enough to make a difference... I'll have them nxxxers voting Democratic for the next two hundred years".

Lyndon Baines Johnson 1963

This really is a racist remark. No, black people do not vote for Ds because of all of their freebies. White people get more benefits than black people do. It's a racist trope.

I, as a black attorney, won't vote for a party that I know is racist, not because I need a handout from anyone. I paid off my law school loans. All $130,000 of it. Thank you very much.

Haven't heard from any white people, only black people.

They know that Republicans do not have their best interests in mind and just want to lock up poor black kids, strip away DEI, and completely dismantle every benefit for preferential hiring practices that help them.

It isn't preferential treatment, it is the ability to have the same opportunity as everyone else. If you ever wondered why black people don't vote R, just read this forum.

Seriously?

So refreshing to have a black GOP voter on dcum.

This is absolutely true. Black people are the most conservative in the democratic coalition. When I worked on the Hill 30 years ago, it was not unusual to know many black republicans. It's much more unusual now. I'm black and believe me, if Rs weren't so racist, we would vote that way.

You are an outlier. The vast majority of Black Americans do not have the privileges you have due to the systemic racism that has put generations of Black Americans behind.

I don’t want to see my sons suffer these struggles as adults so I will always vote Democratic.

There's a huge difference between what you said and what he said.

You've said that blacks and Hispanics are disadvantaged and earn less. Trump essentially said that "black jobs" are the jobs that are being taken by illegal immigrants. Aha, now the Russian trolls are coming out.

You're injecting a red herring. Trump's comment in the debate was about illegal immigrants coming to take black jobs. Highly educated and college educated Russians and Chinese are very rarely illegal immigrants crossing the boarder. They are typically immigrants that come to the US on different types of Visas and either violate their Visas, overstay their Visas. Visa violaters are far easier to track, detain and deport. There are very few Asians that are traveling to Central American and crossing the desert to enter the US.

Additionally the companies that are higher office workers are held much more accountable for hiring illegal aliens without verifying their employment eligibility. It is far easier to find a office work violations. Just the filing of taxes and FICA go in and if the employee does not have a valid Social Security number, it gets flagged. It is far harder to find people who work intermittently, who travel around from job-to-job (like itinerant farm hands), who frequently get paid under the table and in cash, and where there is significantly less employment documentation.

Stop with the stupid red herring diversions.

Storm in a teacup. It's typical of media gaslighting and finding a crime in everything Trump says or does. Joe Biden mangles his words far more often than Trump does and no one calls him out for it. At least Trump specifically spoke out to genuine concerns in working class black and Latino communities over the recent influx of illegal migrants competing for work. Guess that's racist now.

Biden tried to have a lot of blacks lose their jobs for being unvaccinated. Only stopped by Trump's Supreme Court picks.
