For all those who believed that black people would migrate to Trump, I can tell you that his "black jobs" line has not been taken lightly. If there was ever one thing that has pissed black folks off, it was that line.
I'm black and I'm shocked at how pissed off folks are - especially black males. |

It was not supposed to be an appeal to black voters; it was a line for white supporters watching TV that night. They nodded their head in agreement when he used the terms "black jobs" and "Hispanic jobs."

| I’m sorry but if this is what prompted black people to realize Trump is racist, I have a bridge to sell them… |
|
If you don’t vote for me, you ain’t black! — Who said that? Joe Biden Who basically told Joe Biden he’s a racist? — Kamala Harris on the debate stage |
| They have nothing else to worry about? |
It's not. But Trump just made it crystal clear for everyone again. It was a reminder. |
I’m not Black but from Black Twitter on Reddit, yeah, that line did not go unnoticed. I was trying to explain to my 13 year old the contours of the implications in that, especially in light of Trump’s history of racism (especially in housing). He got it (as well as a kid can). |
| Blacks don’t vote R and they never will. |

I don’t think people were offended by that. I think black people are just not going to vote because both options suck .
Gen Z is right there with them |

The irony is one of the biggest black jobs is nursing and so many older BW that worked in hospitals and nursing homes died due to COVID in 2020 . Thanks to Trump.
He didn’t care at first to provide PPE because he thought COVID would just kill minorities in blue states. Hence his supposed comment that NY doesn’t vote for him so he doesn’t care about helping with COVID |

Meh. Trump was saying illegal migrants were taking black jobs and hispanic jobs. It's just one or two words missing that is other wise saying taking jobs from blacks and hispanics.
Storm in a teacup. It's typical of media gaslighting and finding a crime in everything Trump says or does. Joe Biden mangles his words far more often than Trump does and no one calls him out for it. At least Trump specifically spoke out to genuine concerns in working class black and Latino communities over the recent influx of illegal migrants competing for work. Guess that's racist now. |
"No Trump actually meant this...." Been hearing this same lecture since 2015. I can't wait until this guy is done and duster. |
Best of luck. |
Blacks will always vote D. It’s against their best interests to vote R and they know it. That would be the end of every benefit and social safety net they enjoy. "These Negroes, they're getting pretty uppity these days and that's a problem for us since they've got something now they never had before, the political pull to back up their uppityness. Now we've got to do something about this, we've got to give them a little something, just enough to quiet them down, not enough to make a difference... I'll have them nxxxers voting Democratic for the next two hundred years". Lyndon Baines Johnson 1963 |
| Humorous "Black jobs" videos made by Black people have been appearing on my TikTok feed since the election. They're actually quite funny. |
