| Does anyone have a few west coast or Midwest suggestions that aren’t in the middle of nowhere? TIA. |

I think you have more options if you aren't a business or stem major. |
In addition to Virginia schools, WVU, ECU, UNCC, UNCG, Coastal Carolina, Towson and Salisbury. Plenty in neighboring states and many have COA <= $45k. Not that familiar with private. |
I think Elon is going to be a reach for this student unless they increase their GPA substantially junior year (which is a possibility). Elon’s most recent incoming class had over a 4.0 GPA average. It’s getting much more competitive for admissions there. https://www.elon.edu/u/admissions/undergraduate/explore/first-year-class-profile/ |
Elon has a 75% acceptance rate and is ranking #133. You need a 4.0 GPA for that? |
The recent acceptance rates have been lower, around 65%. It’s a very popular option and getting more competitive. Definitely not a guarantee for a student with a 3.3 GPA. |

+1 on Ball State. I know a bright kid with LD and decent but not great HS grades who went there and loved it. Very supportive. My DS and I also toured U Iowa and they seem to have a strong support system for students, including 24 hour drop in math tutoring. It's the smallest of the big 10 schools and Iowa City is a nice college town. |

How do moderators know what your kid's GPA is if you don't share it? |
| If she goes out of state, then you will be spending at least $60k/year on her schooling, OP. |
Elon is as need aware as schools get (only 61% of need met). If you are full pay, you have much better odds |
