How do you know they are “that good” if you aren’t one of their parents. And if you are one of their parents you probably need to tone it down a notch.

I’m not one of their parents and my kids don’t go to battlefield but I know a few of them and the ones I know are good. Like real good.

9th graders are different than 12th graders. A couple cheap shots, I mean body checks, from those Langley seniors and the little 9th graders will be put in their place.

Some of us know a lot put it that way. When 8th graders were playing Woodson fall ball on a Varsity team you might have a good idea of what’s coming.

Don’t they all play for stars? That doesn’t really scare me.

If the rumors are right why would a head coach take an assistant position?

Have to wait and find out.

If all the 28s that are supposed to go there (don’t go privates), the current coaches stay and the centreville coach goes there (as is hinted at). . . You have at least 2 state championships going to the trailer park. 😳

Someone earlier asked about her staff staying at centreville. Any staying?

Centreville varsity staff is all leaving

None of the freshman are going to private school

Maybe not yet. Anyone who wants to be recruited at the highest level and taken seriously on a National stage will transfer to a private school. The level of competition in VHSL just isn't high enough to develop these players.

Stop already. The players that are top tier can play anywhere. Meanwhile, most any player anywhere in the DMV better get a lot better from 8th grade to 10/11. No one knows who those peeps will be.

Not that it matters but isn’t the JV coaches her’s also?

None of the varsity coaches are staying on? Like them or hate them, that was a focused coaching crew. 😳

PP is right - Yorktown just lost their best defender to SSSAS, BF lost two to BI. These girls know that they have to make a move.

Why does it seem like there are a lot of private school admissions directors on here?

Incorrect. If these girls are playing for M&D and Capital as someone previously said (well they said stars, but that will be Capital for some of them) then they don’t need to pay to go to private school to get recruited. And not everyone has the means to afford private school and they aren’t handing out money for lacrosse.

The BF girl left AFTER she had already committed to Denver. She didn’t need the private school to get recruited

False she left after state final sophomore year. Couldn’t have been committed.

She committed in the fall of her jr year before ever playing 1 game with BI.

There’s more to transferring to private than just for sports. Some students need smaller classrooms and as they don’t do well academically or socially in bigger public schools.

Neither school had nothing to do with where she committed. All Capital and herself.
