Try 50 years ago Wisconsin would admit more private school applicants, if they could get them. |
| I’ve heard that Purdue might be slightly easier to get into but a hell of a lot harder to get out of 🤣. They admit and then sort out the true stars from the riff-raff |

Purdue might see a bump because of its basketball success.
Otherwise, "destination" colleges where the city is attractive to international students. Boston, New York, Los Angeles. So BU, NEU, BC, NYU, Columbia, USC, UCLA. Tulane, they are seeing a decrease in applications. Between eg, Boston and New Orleans, I can't see New Orleans winning that battle. |
Wrong. Wisconsin lifted their OOS cap 5 years ago. Previously, only 27% of the student body could be from OOS, meaning the rest had to be in state Wisconsin students. This isn't Texas or California: Wisconsin in state is a VERY VERY small market. Michigan has been half OOS at least since the 90s, coincidentally when Michigan started to see alot of NYC talent come in. |

Which is ironic given the abortion bans and Hamdmaiden Tale policies in the south right now. VA is the farthest north one can get an abortion—good luck with the morning after pill access as well. |
