Who calls them that? Are you on staff there? |
That is obviously a nickname given to them by coworkers. |
Until your ‘thriving’ kid goes to middle school completely unprepared. Community activities are smoke and mirrors for failed leadership and a lack of care at the leadership level to give teachers the support and tools they need to prep kids for that next level Signed- Oakridge Parent |
Oh fun! So leadership level, meaning principal or administrative team? It seems as if Oakridge rolls through AP's, which is usually not a good sign. |
At the elementary level, leadership is pretty much just the principal and, to a lesser degree, the asst. principal. And you are correct, the AP issue is not a good sign. |
| I heard the AP needed to go, that working with the ES age group was not a good fit for them. |
Over and over and over again?? |
Yeah, and the AP before that left midyear....and the AP before that lasted two years.... Pattern. |
Just that one AP. I've not heard anything about the others. |
There are many elementary schools with stable administrative teams. Oakridge seems to turnover AP's every year or two, so what's the common denominator? Also, my viewpoint on leadership is that you should create new leaders. Best football coaches produce assistants that get promotions. At Oakridge, it seems as if AP's get moved in and moved out. Seems as if they're disposable and look for other schools to actually improve and grow. |
