Good for the school, that is.

Yeah, if I wanted my kids to be indoctrinated, I’d just save the 55K and send them to public school.

This. Noticed no one is denying it. They’re just attacking people and attacking the organization.

More than one thing can be true.

1. A teacher may have spoken some words.
2. Someone else may have taken those words out of context and/or misrepresented them.
3. Project Veritas is a heaping pile of poo.
4. People who immediately believe anything coming out of PV are dumb AF.
5. People who push misinformation on the interwebs are POSs.

Well, it's not just hearsay. They did have that man on video actually saying that he's subverting Catholic teachings and feels great about it. And he's the Dean of an all-girls Catholic school. Whether you like Project Veritas or not, there's no denying that he actually said those things. If you don't believe in Catholic values or teachings, then you should not be teaching there, much less be the Dean of that school. He should be fired already.

Veritas is infamous for hit jobs that take comments out of context. This is one of the many reasons they were sued into oblivion.

Not sure how you think this man's words could in any way be salvaged even if in context. He said he took pleasure in subverting the Catholic teachings. He is a leader in a Catholic school. He should be fired. I don't know what is taking them so long.

SR was always 'progressive'but only to a limit - they fired a teacher for having a child out of wedlock (uhh ok so no abortion b/c its murder but you also take away someone's livelihood? ).

they have always been very supportive of LGBTQ teachers- one teacher got months of paid leave b.c his lover was dying, there were several lesbian teachers in long term relationships and students met their partners. and this was back in the 90s!

That is so awesome - can they please go progressive?

Well they are recruiting for a new MS Dean

When did they do this? Fire the teacher for the baby?

They need to do three things -

Make a decision about the Dean (who has always been extremely kind). I would be horrified if anyone hot mic'd me chatting at a bar - I would not come off well! I am taking his words with a huge grain of salt, but they were said.

Develop a clear protocol on THIS issue (that is an emerging issue in schools across the US, fwiw) that is transparent to students, faculty, parents. Send it out in a letter, then put it in the handbook

Express compassion for all parties.

I heard from a friend there was an undercover video released by Project Veritas, which shows the dean of the lower school talking about “subverting the message of the Catholic Church” through their LGBT messaging. Anyone know more? Will this person be kept on staff? Was thinking of applying my DD for 6th grade- now, not so sure.

I am Catholic and I understand what the dean was saying and I would have no problem with it. I’m pretty sure most of the progressive Catholic parishes are not following the church verbatim on this topic.

My MS daughter wants him fired. She doesn’t feel safe around him anymore. She is very upset.

Due to a history of deceptive editing, crimes and other unethical practices, Project Veritas is not considered by anyone except the most hardcore knuckle-dragging, mouth-breathing right-wing nut jobs to be credible about anything. I wouldn't worry about this.

You have "genderless bathrooms" in your home, pp.

Church and Catholic schools are, by definition, "indoctrination." No idea what you're prattling on about. There is no "indoctrination" in public schools. It's one of the biggest appeals, besides the out of pocket savings.

I think the girls are probably winding each other up? My daughter came home full of comments and half facts, and I spoke with her about all the sides of it, being compassionate, and letting the school address it administratively. I agree that trust has been compromised.
