SR/Project Veritas video

I don't have any issue with my adolescent finding caring peers and adults besides me who listen to them. Obviously, I would like to be their recourse -as the parent- if they wrestle with something weighty.. but I'd rather they have someone (than no one) to talk with in addition to parents and siblings.

Then they need to leave as it is a girls’ school.

Is project veritas the same group that made ridiculous planned parenthood videos making it seem like they were selling leftover fetuses in some elicit butchered baby market? Suffice to say I watched the video with a lot of skepticism. Still not a good luck for an all girls catholic school.

I’m pretty lefty myself and cannot get behind this don’t tell parents about your gender policies. Schools need to understand their place. Sure some parents are not going to handle the news well and a school can help with that if the student seeks that help. But parents need to be informed of something this significant in their child’s like. If they suspect child abuse, there are procedures in place for that. I never wanted to tell my parents anything and they were really good parents. That doesn’t mean they shouldn’t have been informed. Teenagers are not adults and teachers are not parents.

My daughter is in the upper school and never had any interaction with this teacher, however, his derogatory remarks about the Catholic Church are quite disturbing and not appropriate for a leader in the school. He should be fired immediately.

I agree. I’m also a SR parent, and my daughter is in the MS with him as the Dean. I sent my child to SR for the Catholic teaching. If the dean is trying to subvert Catholic teachings, the reason most of us parents sent our children there, then that dean should not be there. If he doesn’t agree to the purpose of that school, why would he want to teach there? He’s obviously trying to destroy the school’s purpose from the inside. As he stated on the recording.

I understand the school is crossing its t’s and dotting its i’s before it takes any actions, but I hope SR does the right thing. He should not be teaching at a school he doesn’t believe in.

Sadly, it's for the child's own protection, if the child doesn't feel safe telling their parents about their dysphoria.

Just as some may not feel safe telling their parents they are failing math. I don't see the difference. It is up to the family to work out these issues, not school personnel.

Math is a graded core subject. A child’s sexuality or gender identity is not.

Agree. It is 100 percent the family, and not the teachers' job. Not in any way within a teacher's purview. Kids telling teachers or teachers presuming to recognize gender dysphoria--neither is a reliable source. Most importantly, (nearly all) teachers are not licensed by their jurisdictions to practice psychotherapy. Affirming a child's view that they are in the "wrong body" is a psychological intervention that schools/teachers should not be making.

So well said, PP. Teachers, admin and social workers have way overstepped here.

SR posted boy graduating last year....which quickly got sent around. The most interesting thing was that he/she was continuing on to a Catholic college.

Let’s be real. You sent your DD to SR because she didn’t get into NCS or Holton

Wrong. SR was the only school we cared about. We have no interest in NCS or Holton, too woke.

Another PP here who didn't aply to NCS or Holton. My daughter only applied to Catholic high schools. This is not unusual.

Conservatives are doing a great job of whitening prestigious learning institutions. They are winning the war on integration.

They have been looking to attack DC area privates back when they accused GDS of teaching Critical Race Theory.

Now they know that just merely calling singing "DEI and woke" and parents will fold.

Keep telling yourself that. DEI and wokeness have backfired, and have lost tractions with moderates, independents, and many liberals. Only the far left are still pushing for it. This is the reason many companies and schools are slowly backing away from them.

Good for the school, that is.

Yeah, if I wanted my kids to be indoctrinated, I’d just save the 55K and send them to public school.

This. Noticed no one is denying it. They’re just attacking people and attacking the organization.

More than one thing can be true.

1. A teacher may have spoken some words.
2. Someone else may have taken those words out of context and/or misrepresented them.
3. Project Veritas is a heaping pile of poo.
4. People who immediately believe anything coming out of PV are dumb AF.
5. People who push misinformation on the interwebs are POSs.

Well, it's not just hearsay. They did have that man on video actually saying that he's subverting Catholic teachings and feels great about it. And he's the Dean of an all-girls Catholic school. Whether you like Project Veritas or not, there's no denying that he actually said those things. If you don't believe in Catholic values or teachings, then you should not be teaching there, much less be the Dean of that school. He should be fired already.

Not the PP, a lot of DMV girls apply to all or most of the same schools...and get into all or most of the same schools. And then decide which is the best fit. Are you incredulous that someone could be admitted to Holton/NCS and have the impertinence to decide on a different school?

Ok. All points are still true.
