| My son chose it over Gonzaga and Prep. Liked the modern facility and AP/IB program. College choices are looking very promising. |
| It’s not a public and low pressure. They can kick out slackers or problem kids raising everybody’s experience. Great demand for common sense plus it helps your kid get into heaven. |
| OLGC is looked at by almost all of the other privates as a glorified public school. The Academics are not nearly as rigorous the focus is more on athletics than on academics. And the athletic teams have also garnered a reputation amongst the other WCAC schools as not having good sportsmanship. I have witnessed this personally and that lack of sportsmanship was condoned and encouraged by the coaching staff. |
? Gonzaga defecates in the stands when they lose, they also destroyed the stand at Catholic. I'm not sure you have seen other schools sportsmanship. |

Same with my son, he toured at prep and did not like it . Lots of racists jokes, we withdrew our application. |
Oh please. |
Trust me they are |
I understand that everyone has their own perspective, Good Counsel has been an outstanding choice for us. The combination of modern facilities, a rigorous IB program, and a focus on college readiness has been truly transformative for my son. His college prospects are stronger than ever, and we're thrilled with the opportunities this school has provided. |
| Wheaton alum here. We looked at GC for our daughter but I agree that's its basically become a public school with uniforms and a chapel. |
This is completely untrue. Opposing WCAC fans often talk about how welcoming GC's home environment is. Stop making stuff up. |
+1 |
| My son shadowed at Prep and GC. Hated the bro culture at Prep and went to GC. He's headed unhooked to an Ivy. No regrets. |
Privates aren’t kicking kids out as quickly as you imply. So many litigious parents in the DMV it takes a while to counsel out students, especially if they are full pay |
