They found their people at GC and enjoyed their hs experiences. The racial and socioeconomic diversity was evident and invaluable aspect of their time at GC.

Yes. Agree with the "stop it" - why put schools down that are serving kids so well? And as you say, high achievers can thrive at GC too.

What does this mean?

My kid got accepted to Prep, GZ, and SJC. Chose GC because it offer more academically.

If we lived closer we would have chosen GC. It really seemed like a great school. Loved the contacts I had there. Also, compared to SJC they actually give accommodations without acting like they are doing you a favor.

I'm so sorry you didn't make the cut for admission. You'll be okay and someday you won't carry such a big chip on your shoulder.

Just because they are farther from the city does not mean that they have MAGA. Snobbish much???? They are also a much more diverse school than Prep or GZ so again I doubt they are the hub of MAGA.

FWIW, a bunch of kids at our Catholic K-8 whose families are not from the area (ie., not legacies, don't have a lot of preexisting opinions of all the schools) and GD is the top choice for many of them, including the strongest student in the class.

I think the stem program and atmosphere really blew them away. I have never seen the school and don't know a ton about it since its well out of our geography, but they all have raved about it.

Edit- GC, not GD.

I'm pretty sure Prep has the highest Maga population.
