This is objectively not true. Maybe a few years ago, but just a false statement now. |
Their entire goal is to get it to the striker. It's a very direct play. They skip the midfield whenever possible. How many times do they just punt the ball instead of playing out the back? |
I watched this NVA 2009 team pass circles around Union last weekend. I’ve only seen them a few other times but this team really does play. I agree with PP that you just have an outdated take on this team. NVA 09 is legit and plays the right way. Winning the league in this age group is not easy. NVA and VDA 09s are the two top teams in the area and it isn’t even close, although very contrasting styles. These 2 teams will just continue to improve. Although if the NVA coach really is leaving, I wonder how that will change things. Union 09s play sit and counter with 2 strikers, Arlington doesn’t have a defined style but also tries to counter, Brave is Brave. |
| Anybody know when new coaching slates are typically released? |
| March, around when there are more ID sessions and tryouts |
|
NVA announced to my DDs team:
2012 - U13 - Danny Butler 2011 - U14 - Danny Butler 2010 - U15 - Roberto Parada 2009 - U16 - Phil Liversedge 2008 - U17 - Roberto Parada 2006/7 - U18/19 - Phil Liversedge |
| Who is Roberto? Good coach? |
| He’s been great for my DD and her team. |
| DB takes on former Mclean boss CW with the 2011s |
| Does CW have the 2011s again next year? |
DB will win that 😃 |
Seen enough VDA games that the person saying it's objectively false must not know style or system of play. They do not value the ball, they always high press in hopes of a turnover in the final third. No emphasis on building out of the back, everything forward and direct as far as possible, often skipping the midfield entirely. They value forwards. |
What teams/clubs is Roberto coaching now? |
NVA Girls 2008 & 2010 |
It sounds like they do have a style. |
