This is my DDs club so thought I would start here

Would these projections still be in play considering NM and ML are linked to GFR now?

Maybe NVA will be:

2006/2007 - PL
2008 - PL
2009 - NM
2010 - NM
2011 - ML
2012 - ML

Decent, that!

Why wouldn't CF be hired for the 2012s? I have to imagine most of that roster will be his team if they decide to stay under the umbrella.

This is such a naive comment...first why in the world would most of his 2012's build the team? You realize how many players from all clubs try out for Union? Its pretty much top kids from every club. Second, why would CF coach at that level when he has only coached U12?? Its not just plug and chug.

I also wouldn't assume the SYC 2012's will have Union as their top pick. A few of those top players have garnered guest playing opportunities at clubs all over the area including Arlington and Bethesda. Unless JS is leaving as GK director at Mclean/Union, I don't see CF leaving as the current GK director of SYC and their MLS program. SYC is not going GA, otherwise one would surmise they would have announced by now.

SYC is definitely going GA.

That would be pretty significant. Can anybody actually verify that SYC is joining GA?

Would make sense. They’ve been propping Union up for several cycles.

SYC joining STJFCV’s GA would make sense since they are both in Springfield

Outdoor/indoor + ECNL + GA

I wouldn’t count CF out of coaching the Union 2012s just yet. The 2010 Union parents apparently can’t stand ML. And since Union doesn’t do any GK training until u16 why not bring CF over to help with that?

As it stands the SYC 12s are a very strong team and they have multiple teams recruiting their top players already.

Which 2012 teams in the area are the strongest?

Loudoun

Loudoun, SYC, Arlington for the 2012s. Good players sprinkled at other clubs Vienna, VSA, and McLean. Interesting to see where some of their top players end up.

I’ve heard a lot of those SYC players might join Arlington with the Union uncertainty. Crazy move to be honest to join Arlington.

Union probably also isn’t the right choice.
