That VDA 07 team seems tied to MA. I think that was part of their strange Herndon partnership since she was coaching there prior.

The Herndon partnership was for the boys side of VDA. MA has been the 07 coach for 2 years. My guess is she’ll have a different team next year.

Maybe a different club even.

This is my DDs club so thought I would start here

Why wouldn't CF be hired for the 2012s? I have to imagine most of that roster will be his team if they decide to stay under the umbrella.

Some rumor was brewing that SYC may end that partnership with Mclean not too long ago.

This is such a naive comment...first why in the world would most of his 2012's build the team? You realize how many players from all clubs try out for Union? Its pretty much top kids from every club. Second, why would CF coach at that level when he has only coached U12?? Its not just plug and chug.

I also wouldn't assume the SYC 2012's will have Union as their top pick. A few of those top players have garnered guest playing opportunities at clubs all over the area including Arlington and Bethesda. Unless JS is leaving as GK director at Mclean/Union, I don't see CF leaving as the current GK director of SYC and their MLS program. SYC is not going GA, otherwise one would surmise they would have announced by now.

Not familiar with the situation, but why would they do that?

Do people here find that there is a lot of coaching movement during the soccer year? I always felt/thought it was much more an abnormality.

I'm unsure of it entirely as well.

On the Mclean side, you have a club that competes in ECNL-RL, EDP, and I think they field some NCSL teams also.

SYC doesn't compete in ECNL. They seem to have a strong boys program and a pretty decent girls program up until U13 and that's where you think the partnership comes into play for the girls side.

It's just an interesting partnership where one club holds a higher tier of competition for boys in SYC and Union/Mclean offers the higher tier of competition for girls. On paper it seems like it could work to flow players to the higher levels but I don't know the inner workings entirely.

Would these projections still be in play considering NM and ML are linked to GFR now?

Maybe NVA will be:

2006/2007 - PL
2008 - PL
2009 - NM
2010 - NM
2011 - ML
2012 - ML
