Sure, he can wear whatever he wants but I'm not snuggling up to him as long as he's the spitting image of his dad <shudder>. I'm perfectly fine with him wearing baseball caps. He's got a bunch of them. I'm also fine with him wearing a fishing hat or a sun hat or a jacaru, just not that flat cap.

This is a cool hat but much harder to pull of, Indy.

it sure is

am i crazy - i sort of like op's husband's hat? i'm 50 so i guess you won't find me knocking middle aged fashion too much

THAT hat is so much better than a flat cap! Everyone looks good in it, not just Indy!

In this area? You’d look like a tourist from the Deep South or out west.

Flat caps work for what most men around here would wear them for. It’s nicer than a ball cap or beanie. Solid option.

There is no reasoning with someone who thinks that hat is ok.

I don’t know. Middle aged men wearing baseball caps scream try hard

Seriously? That's ridiculous. The baseball cap is timeless - and ageless.

No, ball caps are for children, casual events and ball players. They are terribly try hard.

European here whose 78 year old dad wears “old man flat hats” as well as baseball hats as well as beanies and sometimes even fedoras.

They all look good on him.

What’s the big deal?

Even in Kentucky, people made comments about his hat and it stood out. Cool hat but really a statement piece.
