Taylor’s girls night out: leveled up edition

“She should dress like a world’s top model” AND “I’m not saying there’s a standard”.

It’s not that you can’t express a negative opinion, it’s that you’re imposing an impossibly ridiculous standard—and then pretend you’re not.

If we're ragging on Taylor's style, I'd like to add her "off the shoulder" jacket look she was sporting during most of the NFL games.

Why the hate on women?

I’m old and don’t understand the difference between “hate” and “I don’t think that jacket is the right cut for her.” Can you explain that and how one is to ever offer a negative opinion that isn’t “hate.” I am truly asking because this is beyond me.
I mean queer eye for the straight guy was a show entirely based upon the phenomenon of saying you could make fashion choices.

You are just talking nonsense because you can't deal with anyone criticizing anything about TS. That's your issue.

We just don't like this outfit. It's actually a testament to how bad it is that not even Taylor Swift can make it look good. I posted early on that I really liked Selena and Sophie's outfits but not Taylor's. It's okay. She has other stuff going on for her.

I agree on the holding hands being weird. And no, I don’t hate any of these women, just not clear on why a group of grown women, strung the age of 30, have to hold on to each other. I never did this as a teen, let alone in my 30s.

I don’t think it’s the blaring camera lights, I don’t see celebrity men holding hand thru the glare of press lights.

What’s the combined social media footprint of these ladies? A few billion unique followers?

Barf.

I can't think of a group of male friends who hang out regularly in the spotlight. But if you want to talk about men friendships that seem off, I give you Leonardo DiCaprio and Lukas Haas, and George Clooney and Rande Gerber. Something odd there.

No one said these friendships were "odd." They were criticized for lacking IQ. Which I notice you didn't do here.

I think security tells them to stay very close together as a group so they are more easily protected, if there's a security incident. Don't let individuals fall behind, walk together in a tight group. Easiest way to do that is lock arms and hold hands so everyone moves at the same pace.

Remember - there's a crowd of photographers and onlookers right outside the frame, plus multiple security team members. If someone runs up to accost Selena Gomez, they don't want to split up the group as it makes the remaining individuals vulnerable from a security standpoint.

I think this is a great take on why she is always holding hands with her group of friends. Thanks for reasoning on this.

She was a high level college soccer player and played professionally for a bit in Europe. After she retired from soccer she became a personal fitness trainer and had a small business doing that for a time. Then she co-founded the Kansas City Current with her husband and other co-owers, a NWSL team.

And before you say "whatever she did the with her husband's money," they met in high school and have been together since, there is not a single professional success he has accomplished, going all the way back to his HS football career, getting recruited into college, and then being drafted into the NFL, that he has done on his own without her. He is straight up lucky to have her in his life and I bet he knows it. There are plenty of grifter GFs and wives of pro athletes who are in it for the money or the fame, but she isn't one of them.

That's great. I don't follow sports so had no idea. Love that she's the owner of a team!

I was watching videos from when Ice Spice joined Taylor on stage last May. They held hands on stage.

Who knows why she does it? But maybe it’s to show support.

Matty Healy insulted Ice Spice. Taylor then collaborated with her and invited her on stage.

Sophie Turner needed support and Taylor made an appearance with her.

Just a few examples of TS showing support.

I agree that the short Catholic school girl skirts aren’t a good look. I’m not into schoolgirl cosplay because doing so seems to sexualize high school girl uniforms. Ick.

I think the short skirts, leather and bustiers are a reaction to dating a hot athlete. When I first heard rumors of them together, I was like that Folklore cardigan and homesteader hair better be gone lol.

I saw a photo of the ladies that also showed fans with cell phone cameras right next to the stairs and within 10 feet of the celebrities.

I can understand that would be overwhelming and now I get why T and Selena are looking down. It’s a lot to handle.

No one here talked about PRINCESS BEATRICE being spotted at the same restaurant at the very same time. She entered alone. Was she joining them for some reason? Was it just a coincidence?

If you ever watch the videos of these nighttime pap walks, you can see how blinding and relentless the flashes are from all the cameras. That's why celebrities are always looking down. They can't see.
