I know we aren't supposed to say negative things about Tay, but I think this sexy school girl look she's been working is ridiculous. The pleated mini skirts with the thigh highs and the the tight sweaters with the ponytails and bangs -- it's not that she looks bad. She obviously looks amazing and these outfits emphasize how tall and skinny she is. But they also look like costumes for a music video and are just very hard to take seriously. I hope she moves on from this phase swiftly, hee hee. She has the looks to pull of just about anything and this phase is a big yawn for me.

I'm not into the 33 year old sexy school girl look either. She can still appear young and show off those long legs in something different -- Gisele Bunchen managed this.

I’m tired of this thinking, please tell me how to express a negative opinion about Taylor. I wore a skirt like that when I was in college in the 90s. (I’m now 45+). I wore tights and shorter boots. My skirt was longer and I didn’t use a belt because I didn’t like the way it looked. Taylor is shorter than I am and I would find those boots uncomfortable and I think it looked better with a longer skit and boots. Why can’t I have that opinion?

I think her outfit was cute. I also can’t really get behind the whining about not being able to say a bunch of negative things about a younger woman’s outfits.

NP and I can’t stand her either. She’s a jerk. I don’t know how to describe it but she comes across to be a wanna be, jerk mean girl.

SHe is another child star who never knew a normal life. She has turned out somewhat better than most because her parents were wealthy and also savvy about the music industry since her father worked in it, but they have been creating and promoting her as a brand since she was a teen. She hasn't lived a 'normal' life since she was a pre teen. Her parents and team did a good job, kind of like Kris Jenner at taking mediocre talent and turning her into a superstar. But it does mean her life has been one of having an excessive amount of money and power and having people scurry around meeting your every need. Hard for that not to go to your head.

It's not a "standard I'm requiring of women." I like Taylor and think she looks great, but I think her outfit was bad. It's called fashion criticism and it doesn't need to be taken personally. I also criticize how men dress, but since I'm not a man and don't care so much about menswear, I tend to focus on looking at what women are wearing.

Saying Taylor's outfit sucks in no way takes away from her many professional accomplishments.
