But now it is 2026; do you think they will both be released on parole soon?

Will they continue their lesbian relationship? Try to get the kids back? Start a new church?

I had the feeling that the husband would get back together with the 8 Passengers mom if she would take him. He was not just pathetic but also creepy in his own way. I wouldn't put it past her to use him if it benefited her. I think the two women won't get back together but each will wreak havoc individually in some way or another.

He is remarried and has zero interest into getting back into an abusive relationship. He has talked about how differently he sees the world now that he out from under her spell and free. His kids were at his wedding and he seems to have a good relationship with them.
He was a domestic abuse victim - sure some abuse victims seem pathetic but really they are a victim of circumstance that makes them submissive and weak looking.

In the documentary, he said he still loves Ruby and called the whole story (with the abuse) “a love story.” I haven’t seen him speak out disavowing it.

That's what I was basing it on as well (PP who said he would take her back).

Wasn't that from the interview right when she was arrested and he didn't even know what was going on yet?

A lot of abused spouses do go back to their abuser or say they still love them but not after they have left and gotten remarried...and not usually after they found out their abuser tortured their children.

He said in an interview on Good Morning America earlier this year that he would never let her back into his life or his kids life ever.

That was one of the most shocking parts of the story.

The cops already arrested Ruby and they gave all the kids to CPS, when they detained and questioned him.

They were like: “you must be part of this.” And he truthfully told them he had not seen them in months.

Glad he was able to move on.

Will Ruby be released soon?

Utah has a weird system called Indeterminate Sentences. She was sentenced to serve 1-15 years for each of her four convictions (up to 30 years total) She goes in front of the parole board for the first time in Dec 2026. From what I understand, at that point, the Parole Board will consider all factors related to community safety, her progress / behavior since she was incarcerated, prisoner eligibility (there are different minimum sentence requirements depending on the crime), sentencing standards, and any letters sent to them or presented to them and they will assign her a release date that is somewhere between 0 and 30 years. Then that is the planned release. They can release early if new information is presented to them or there are a change in circumstance and they can delay the planned release for the same reasons.

Watched the new Netflix documentary last night. Whoa! I wasn’t following this case before. I’m so glad those kids have a parent who (it sounds like?) broke free of the cult and is raising them now.

It sounds like Ruby wasn’t a great mom even before Jodi. Way too much of a disciplinarian and seemed really unhappy.

I thought it was well after she was arrested and possibly after sentencing.

I don’t think the father has custody of the younger kids.

I think Ruby will be paroled but Jodi is in it for the full time. She’s completely delusional

That's a positive development. Ruby Franke was arrested on August 30, 2023. Where were they in between? I read Shari's book and follow her on IG. She's super resilient.

That is when his divorce was finalized and the permanent custody plan was in place. He may well have had them before that as well. I think they were with other family right after her arrest, I don't know when they went to dad.

I'm steamed that the husband got off scot free as if he had no idea what was going on. He lived with them ffs. Why do his kids stick up for him when he let all of that stuff happen? And how f'd in the head is his new wife?? Marrying that man...
