Houston, TX is one of the best food cities in America by far. Unbelievable steak, Tex-Mex, Latin Food, etc. There isn't much to do there but eat and shop but they do that well.

International- anything in Italy, west coast of Ireland & the Greek Isles

Totally agree with Houston -I’ll take over New Orleans any day. 30 years ago NO was the best but last 5 or 6 times I have been there, nothing has stood out but desserts.

Coastal Ireland towns have great seafood, Argentina has amazing meats but Italy and Greece is my favorites. Have never been to Singapore only China and Japan.

I'm a vegetarian, so my experience is different but I ate incredibly well in Greece. Every meal was fabulous, from the local holes in the wall to touristy beach cafes. I never struggled to find something new to try, and never felt like I was settling or missing out.

Other memorable foods:
The fruit and fruit smoothies in Costa Rica (the pineapple is life changing). The fruits in Peru - just browsing at the markets and buying random things that I didn't know what they were. Tapas in Spain. Desserts in Hong Kong. Tomato soup in Madeira (difficult place to eat for me, and I probably had this daily).

I studied abroad in Seville, Spain and still dream about the food there.

How long ago did you go to Madeira? I am going next year as a vegetarian, so I'm hoping things have changed since you were there!

Best falafel I’ve ever had was in the Marais neighborhood in Paris.

I’m Germany, all the food is prepared with care, but kind of tire of it after awhile.

I agree with you about German food. It’s delicious but of a very limited variety and so heavy

That wasn't my experience of German food, and I lived there for years. Maybe you mean German food that American tourists go for?

Everything I ate in Thailand was wonderful.

Tea in Sri Lanka was the best.

Italy - Bologna/Modena, and steak in Florence. Pizza in Rome.

Indian food in London. And the goat milk ice cream from Borough Market.

New York City, too many great restaurants to mention. But there is one place in Brooklyn that sells maple syrup ice cream, which is the best ice cream I ever tasted.

Baby potatoes baked in salt in Seville.

Tomatoes in the South of France.

Hotel breakfasts in Moscow - probably won't be doing this one again.

Georgian food, from the country, not the state.
