They make me smile. I am genuinely happy for the kid. It's an exciting time in your life.

+1

It gives you something to say to neighbors too when you walk by their house and they are out beyond just a wave. I think it helps build a neighborhood feeling.

So how long do people have these things out for? My firstborn graduates HS in mid-June. When should I put up her sign?

I love the signs! Parents should be allowed to be proud and I love seeing where they go! I love seeing a house with diff signs too!

Honestly, just find it deep in your soul and be happy for their child and the family celebrating them.

This was a covid K-12 east coast private school thing that now colleges are copying.

Nope saw lots of public high school ones.

As your neighbor, I like the signs! I have a sophomore and it’s neat to see what colleges the neighborhood seniors are choosing, and I like congratulating the kid and parents when we see them on our walks.

Nice one!

I'm embarrassed by parents who put out yard signs for anything - but whatever....

Bring back the yard signs! I loved seeing the HS grad ones and would always offer congrats if the family was outside. It gave such a nice community feel. I also miss Covid Halloween with table displays and cheer.

I assume this is MI. We got one too, and happily put it up.

Put out now, keep until you get tired of it. No later than when college starts though.
