THIS. It's the same flag for all of us, even those of us who are liberals, Democrats, liberal Democrats....And I too refuse to cede it to any other group. We fly one on the appropriate holidays.

The only place I would ever assume the flag = Republican is the one house in our VA suburb that is also festooned with gigantic Trump signs and what appear to be fabric banners proclaiming Trump is president. They even had some neon Trump sign in the yard at one point. No kidding.

I live in a liberal part of Pennsylvania and I’ve seen that flag multiple times. I don’t know most of the people who fly it. I know one of them is a cop.

No, I do not assume homes with US flags are MAGAs. We kept our US flag up for a long time, because I did not want to cede "ownership" of our country and patriotism to a bunch of Trump and gun worshipers.

But, we did take down our US flag recently because I didn't want to be affiliated with the MAGA terrorists by people I didn't know. There is a home for sale on our street, and I don't want to lower the value.

Sad about it, but it is what it is.

Our high school has many Don’t Tread On Me license plates, and the drivers are usually Hispanic or black, so if they’re republicans, they are not your stereotypical white male republican.
