| Yes. I also assume that the houses that have those "Home of the Free Because of the Brave" and "All Gave Some--Some Gave All" signs are Republicans as well. |
Do you disagree with, or dislike the sentiment of those? |
I find them mawkish and sententious. |
| No |
| YES. these days, yes. sorry. |
| No. I don’t display one, but my parents (lifelong Democrats) are immigrants and have displayed theirs since they were naturalized. I think it’s nice. |
| Yes. In our very liberal neighborhood, we are the only one who hang the flag for Independence day and Memorial day. We are Republican. |
Well, the problem is that for a lot of people in America, those values are not afforded to them. Maybe you look at a flag as a symbol of hope for change, but I see a flag as pride of a country the way it is. I am not proud of America. I wish I was, but I'm not. And you don't need to be depressed about it. America has a long tradition of getting mad at the government and demanding better. |
Then I'd love to know what you think of the "In this house..." signs. |

yep I know I shouldn't assume it -- but I do. |
Oh they’re 100% acceptable, obvi. Not sententious AT ALL. |
I also refuse to cede that. I'll add that I'm tired of my twitter-sheeple 'progressive' Dem white friends in the DC area that act aggrieved by displaying the US flag. |
