Brazilian Jiu Jitsu would be an option. My local studio has a women’s class (teen girls are also allowed). It focuses on fighting off attackers. They occasionally do free self-defense classes, but you would really need regular training to get a handle on it.

DC Impact is well known for classes where women learn self defense techniques and then practice them full force on a padded attacker.
