I get that they are supposed to be very “different” kind of unique personalities, and that is fine. But have you ever heard a straight woman say to another “I love the way it feels when your boobs press up again mine” when they hug? That is just not something I can imagine two women saying. I feel like they need a female editor to go through and redline some of the dialogue.

But I love Michael Urie and Ted mcginley in this. Michale urie is really so good — in another actors hands that role might be really irritating but he makes it sing.

Agree about the dialogue between women. Some of the dialogue is just not realistic at all - like trying too hard.

True. But it's funny, so I don't really care.

I used to watch this intermittently, when I had nothing else to watch. It's grown on me and now I really look forward to it every week.

Really? It's just strange. The whole show is just so forced. It has way too many story lines and none are particularly compelling.

I hate watched this for almost one and a half seasons (thanks covid). And by the end, loved every single character. Ugh.

the befriending of the man who drove drunk and killed the mother is unbelievable. I also find the larger friend dynamic unbelievable but can let that go for the plot of the show.

of course you have to suspend reality -- that's TV

The final episode was so beautiful and perfect ending-- I fear they may not do another season.

and they left the certain hookup of Jason Segel's character with his HIMYM castmate unexplored

Did I miss the flashback of the actual accident or did they not show it? I saw Louis & fiancé leave the bar to drive home and then Jimmy arriving at the scene. Was there something in between?

I find this frustrating, too. Gabby is so compelling (the actress and the character when she's not being SO SASSY) but her dialogue is just so over the top.

It's flawed but worth watching for Harrison Ford alone.
