I think he is well cast in this as the curmudgeon navigating aging/end of life issues.

Witness? K-19? Blade Runner? The Fugitive? Air Force 1? Patriot Games? But the last 3 are kind of similar in tone action flicks with less acting and more angry heroics.

I love HF and think he’s a great actor but I do think some of the stuff is a little dopey for him to pull off. He’s just not a Jason Segal dopey type actor — like the shot of him scratching his balls was just….not working. And I’m not totally buying him as a therapist, even a CBT therapist. I think he’s phenomenal in the Yellowstone prequel though. I didn’t watch yelllostone itself (too soapy) but Helen Mirren and HF have me booked on the prequel. Especially Mirren. I wish they’d film more of it before they start to get too old! I guess Calista is taking care of him but he does seem like he’s slowing down.
