In addition to having a higher rate of admission, Cornell also offers many freshmen applicants a guaranteed transfer option if one does his or her first year of college at another school any school) and earns a specified minimum GPA. So Cornell's admit rate is, arguably, much higher than 10.5%.

Are you reading the thread at all? Cornell is 7 percent now. This is updated for Class of 2026. You are looking at Class of 2024. Apps have gone up because other Ivies have lower admission rates.

Should have written that Cornell's rate of admission is, arguably, much higher than 7% if guaranteed (albeit with a contingency) transfer offers of admission are included.

LOL grasping for straws here. Contingencies is no guarantee. Still need to have grades etc. It is not an admission until it is the next year.
