I just started this series (I realize I am reviving an old thread). I am enjoying it although not sure it will hold my attention for the whole season/series. The lead actress is terrific, and each case has made for an interesting plot so far. Also, I kind of like the soap opera aspects - those parts feel more tongue and cheek to me than a traditional american soap opera.
My simple minded, non wordly question is this - when Attorney Woo introduced herself each time, she states her name like it is a palindrome and then recites other palindromes. But in English her name is not a palindrome, while the other words she recites are (kayak, deed). Is this just something lost in the translation, literally? Is her name a palindrome in Korean, and the other words she recites after are palindromes in Korean but for translation purposes English palindromes are inserted? This grates on me each time it happens and I need it cleared up  .

| The words she uses are palindromes in Korean, as is her name which has 3 letter blocks: woo young woo. They’ve changed the words to palindromes in English for translation flow. Otherwise the translation of words like shooting star would be more confusing. |

Yes! I got hooked on k-dramas after watching Alchemy of Souls.

Her name is 우영우 - Woo Young Woo, you can see that’s a palindrome in Korean language.
The real korean words used are "기러기, 토마토, 스위스, 인도인, 별똥별, 우영우, 역삼역", which literally means wild goose, tomato, swiss, indian, shooting star, woo young woo, yeoksam station. |

Can’t seem to find any intel on season two. I do know that Kang Tae-Oh has finished his military service and somewhere I think I saw 2024 as the airing.
