Extraordinary Attorney Woo

Interesting ranked 7th in US today. I have to admit surprised so many viewers in the US will watch a cc show. One time my Teenager watched a cc show with me. They liked it but said it was more like reading a book because they couldn’t scroll through their phone at the same time.

Extraordinary attorney Woo is very different than crash landing on you but has some of the qualities of great acting, production writing and a story that moves you.

Has anyone else found themselves attracted to Korean men after watching k dramas like this one? I especially love the Joonho character.

But autistics do not dress well.

Oh definitely. But I remind myself that they often have cosmetic surgery to look more Western. Especially their noses.

In a Korean series. I don't think autism is discussed much over there, so I'm curious to see if it creates more awareness and acceptance.

I hope you'll come back here and give us your thoughts after watching it. Judging from discussions on reddit, it sounds like a lot of people with autism/family members of people with autism are watching it.

I watched the first two episodes. At first I felt like they were taking all these quirky autistic traits and rolling it up into one character. I see some of myself in those, but not all. But then I remind myself that it is a spectrum, and autism looks different from one person to another. Overall I am enjoying the actress’s portrayal of Attorney Woo, I feel like this Korean series portrays autism better than the western shows I’ve seen. I’m looking forward to seeing the rest of the episodes.

I also find it interesting the head of the law firm is a woman. I wonder how this, as well as autism, is perceived in a hierarchical culture like Korea. I’d be curious to know what people in Korea think of this series.

I’ve been enjoying watching this drama particularly episodes 7-9. What do you like about Joonho character? I am curious. He is not like typical Hollywood handsome actors..

Heads of two competing top law firms in this drama are women. But both of them are daughters of the law firm founders. In reality, there are not that many women CEOs in South Korea even it is changing slowly.
This drama is very popular and well received in South Korea.

You should watch alchemy of souls and business proposal if you haven’t seen these yet!

Move to Heaven had a male Level 1-ish autistic male character. Great show.

There are plenty of attorneys with autism, but I don’t think they generally go into trial work. So that seems a bit unrealistic.

The last 2 episodes will be released this week. There are so many loose ends, I don’t know how they’ll address everything. I’m still looking forward to it!

Yes agree, there has to be some suspension of belief to watch this.

Obviously there are average people looking everywhere, but the really beautiful/handsome Koreans I've known are all very attractive, with stunning features, and have excellent fashion/style to boot. No wonder they're the trendsetters of Asia.

Plastic surgery capital of the world.
I had a Korean roommate in college. Short, trunky and stocky like the Kim Jung Il clan. But hey, they have surgery to fix that too!

I'm SURE your Korean roommate is just like every Korean person
Too bad there's no surgery to fix your personality

Dated a Korean man so not surprising for me but I believe in the Skittles approach to love/lust.
