Good point, UVA SAT: 1320-1510 UF SAT: 1290-1460 UVA little higher, so overall admission difficulty would be similar |
Why not? |
It may be easier to get into, but it’s nothing like UVA. My kids didn’t even consider it. |
This is a good list! I would add University of Connecticut to the last category. |
| Miami University in Ohio |
| My DD is kind of in the same boat. Schools she is definitely applying to include (many already mentioned) South Carolina, JMU, University of Miami, UF, FSU, UGA and College of Charleston. CoC was a big surprise to all of us, but she loved the campus even though it is much smaller than UVA. She thought campus was beautiful and liked the school size (10k undergrad). She decided that proximity to the beach could make up for lack of athletic teams. Wake may also make a list, although I know they are much more selective. She did not like Clemson - too rural. |
not sure your financial stautus, but in general private schools give you better aid make it comparabel to public schools. in fact OOS public schools don't provide much |
| Richmond |
| ^ unimportant! from NoVa. Get a clue! Ridiculous to post "instate acceptance rate" when coming from NoVa |
ouch! |
I think you're confusing the Miamis |
PP here. I didn’t mean that in a rude way. They just wanted the large school, sports, etc. experience. WM is completely different from VT, UVA, JMU, etc. |
